Mat Sabu Admitted For Suspected Dengue

PETALING JAYA: PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu, commonly known as Mat Sabu, has been admitted to Klang Hospital and is suspected to be suffering from dengue.

Shah Alam PAS MP Khalid Samad tweeted, “I was informed that deputy president, Mat Sabu has been admitted to Tunku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang for suspected dengue. I pray that he will recover soon.”

According to an online news portal, Mohamad’s personal assistant Tajuddin Othman said that the PAS No. 2 had been suffering from fever over the past few days, and decided to admit himself after he came back from a one-day trip to Krabi, Thailand.

Tajuddin told the news portal that Mat Sabu’s condition had improved and are hoping that he could be discharged by this evening.

Social media has been abuzz Thursday with photo of him being treated by a doctor.

Batu PKR MP Tian Chua said he was praying for Mat Sabu’s recovery in a tweet.

“I called Mat Sabu just now and he confirmed that he was infected with dengue. He is now recuperating. Get well soon”.

Mohamad also received well wishes from Barisan Nasional official Twitter accounts, @barisannasional and @SayangiSelangor.

“Mat Sabu has been admitted to Klang Hospital for suspected dengue. Let’s hope he recovers soon,” read the tweets.-The Star
