MUAR — Police have detained a 17-year-old woman woman for allegedly stabbing her husband to death out of jealousy when he failed to come home for two days in Taman Pertama Indah, Sungai Abong, here yesterday.
Muar district police chief ACP Zaharudin Rasip said Mohd Firdaus Md Salehuddin, 28, died in the 2 pm incident after he was allegedly stabbed by his wife, following a misunderstanding.
“When police arrived, the victim was sprawled in the living room and the suspect was also there.
“Police detained the suspect and also seized a knife,” he told a media conference here today.
He said the house occupied by the couple belonged to the victim’s employer, who had turned the place into a store and transit home for employees.

The couple, from Parit Bunga, Tangkak, married about five months ago.
