KUALA LUMPUR – A man pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here today to a charge of threatening to kill his wife.
B. S. Ganeson, 43, was charged with criminal intimidation against his wife, G. Vikneswary, 39, by saying “I want to kill you” in Tamil.’
The offence was allegedly committed at a car park of a condominium in Taman Seputeh, Brickfields near here at 1.30 am on may 1, 2014.
The charge, under Section 506 of the Penal Code, carries an imprisonment for up to seven years or with fine or both, if found guilty.
Magistrate Mohamad Faizal Ismail allowed Ganeson bail of RM2,000 in one surety and set Oct 21 for mention.
The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor N. Joy Jothi, while Ganeson was represented by lawyer Kee Wei Lon. – BERNAMA
