A WOMAN was allegedly raped by five men after her husband refused to pay “protection money” to her ex-husband, China Press reported.
It was learned that the ex-husband, a Bangladeshi, ordered seven foreign men to abduct the victim in front of her husband at their house in Dengkil, Selangor, at about 2am on Nov 13.
Sources said the 28-year-old victim claimed she was taken to a house in Selayang and raped by several men. She managed to escape three days later and lodged a police report.
Police have detained four suspects to aid the investigation and are still looking for four other men.
The daily quoted Federation of Private Medical Practitioners’ Associations Malaysia president Dr Steven Chow as saying the practitioners felt restricted by rules which included the size of their clinics’ doors and the height of the ceiling.
He asked who would treat ailments such as dengue, high blood pressure and asthma if more doctors focused on medical cosmetology.
Dr Chow said private practitioners’ problems had been raised with the Health Ministry, but few solutions had been found. – The Star Online
