KUALA LUMPUR – Malindo Air has appointed Travel Point LLC, Oman’s largest travel and hospitality company, as its general sales agent in Oman, with immediate effect.
In a statement today, the airline said the appointment signified its commitment to expand its presence to the international network by allowing easy access to its product and services to the Omani market.
Malindo Air Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chandran Rama Muthy, said the airline aimed to grow a stronger network that would connect its passengers to more destinations.
“Our partnership with Oman Air will serve the market for leisure, business, pilgrimage, medical tourism and more.
“We aim to build a stronger market presence and be the airline of choice with the support from Travel Point and we look forward to welcome more passengers from Oman,” he added.
Commenting on the partnership, Travel Point CEO, Sunil Prabhakar, said with attractive fares and premium services, Malindo Air had witnessed rapid growth and significant expansion of its route network in a short span of time.
“We are happy to partner with Malindo Air and we will endeavour to leverage this service and offer the travellers in Oman fantastic prices to Malindo Air’s current destinations,” he added.
The recent winner of CAPA’s 2016 Asia Pacific Regional Airline of the Year, the airline is offering baggage allowance of 30 kilogrammes (kg) for Economy Class and 40 kg for Business Class, in-flight entertainment, in-flight meal and optional wi-fi.
Currently, Malindo Air has 800 flights weekly to over 40 destinations. – BERNAMA
