SONGKHLA – A Malaysian woman and daughter were killed while her teenage son was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision in Hatyai early Wednesday.
Nam d/o Chang, 50, died on the spot while Lau Jia Pei, 23, succumbed to head and body injuries at the Hatyai Hospital.
Jia Ying, 13, who sustained a broken left leg and head injuries has been warded at the hospital where his condition was described as stable.
A police spokesman, Captain Chamlong Khonsawat said Nam’s car collided with a fish trailer vehicle coming from the direction of the Ranong region at the Kuan Lang-Phetkasem Road Junction in Hatyai about 4am.
The trio were from Kampung Padang Petani, Jejawi in Perlis, he told reporters here Wednesday.
According to the Malaysian Consulate Office in Songkla, the next-of-kin of the victims have been notified to take the bodies home today.
