KUALA LUMPUR – Harimau Muda C (national Under-19 squad) mauled neighbours Singapore 4-0 in their second Group B match in the AFF U-19 champiosnhip at the Laos National Stadium in Vientiane yesterday.
In the action broadcast live by a pay TV station, Malaysia went ahead as early as the 16th minute when striker Muhammad Jafri Muhammad Firdaus Chew found the mark.
He made it two up six minutes later.
In the second half, Hassan Sazali Mohd Waras’s boys showed they meant business with Muhammad Nazirul Afif Ibrahim and Muhammad Danial Ashraf Abdullah scoring in the 64th and 88th minutes respectively.
Malaysia had beaten Timor-Leste 2-1 in the opening match and will be playing against Vietnam on Thursday and Myanmar on Saturday.
