CYBERJAYA – Malaysia is not a failed state because it is rich in revenue sources and has vast potential, said PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.
He said the existing government had drawn up policies that had benefited the people, and if necessary, policies should be improved to provide more efficient services.
“Good policies should be maintained and bad ones should be corrected or eliminated, ” he said when launching of the Gagasan Sejahtera alliance’s manifesto for the 14th Generlal Election with its allies here tonight.
Gagasan Sejahtera comprises PAS, Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (Ikatan) and Barisan Jemaah Islamiah SeMalaysia (Berjasa).
Hadi, who is also Gagasan chairman, stressed that PAS would be fair in solving the problems faced by the country if given the mandate in GE14.
“As a mature and capable opposition, PAS will face the general election and does not want to topple to the government using the back door,” he said.
The manifesto encompasses nine core thrusts and 20 key offerings, among others, capable of solving the problems of the people including the cost of living and to wipe out loans from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation.
In addition, the creation of a government with integrity and trustworthiness, increasing disposable income and generating new opportunities for the people. – BERNAMA
