KUALA LUMPUR – The Perak team pulverised PKNS FC 4-1 in a group C match in the
2016 Malaysia Cup at Ipoh Stadium, Perak last night.
The Bos Gaurus collected three points via Elias Fernandes De Oliviera (47th
minute, 64th minute), Xhevahuir Sukaj (50th), Fazrul Hazli (51st) while PKNS FC
scored their solitary goal in the 89th minute.
In another group C competition, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) drew 1-1 with the
Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) via an own goal by opposing player K. Reuben in
the 70th minute and Safuwan Baharudin from PDRM equalised in extra time at the
Hang Jebat Stadium, Melaka.
Negeri Sembilan also won its first match against Melaka 3-2 in the group D
competition at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi, Seremban.
Despite trailing behind 0-1 by a visitor Yashir Armando Pinto’s goal in the
12th minute, the homester’s import Alexander Moreton Smith managed to score in
the 26th and 37th minutes.
Although, Negeri Sembilan was one player short after Hariri Safii was shown
the red card for roughing up Yashir Armando in the 32nd minute, the host team
still gave a stiff fight with a third goal by Henrique De’ Silva in the 39th
In the second half, Melaka succeeded to get its second goal in the 52nd
minute via Ferris Danial.
At the Selayang Stadium, the Kuala Lumpur team won its first match in group
B and collected three points after beating Pahang 2-0 via an early goal from a
free kick by imported player Leonardo Moriera in the eighth minute.
In the second half, Kuala Lumpur continued its attack with a second goal by
Jonathan E.C Zorrilla Viviana in the 52nd minute.
At the Pasir Gudang Municipal Stadium, Johor Darul Ta’zim II was tied 0-0
