Madonna ‘Appears Drunk’ While Dedicating Song To Son Rocco

in Entertainment/Latest

MADONNA has worried fans by dedicating an emotional song to estranged son Rocco as they claimed she appeared drunk on stage.

The star , 57, who is locked in a bitter battle with ex-hubby Guy Ritchie over the 15-year-old, was said to have began her performance four hours late then downed drinks in front of the bemused crowd.

She allegedly told the crowd in Melbourne: “One thing I’m going to do here tonight that I’ve never done before when singing is drink.”

Later, it is claimed she said: “I’m not supposed to be asking for alcohol right now but, Jesus Christ, get me some drink.”

She kicked off her performance by arriving on stage riding a child’s tricycle dressed as a clown.

Introducing the song Intervention, which has the opening line “I got to save my baby,” a picture of Rocco was used as a backdrop.

In an emotional voice, it’s alleged she said of Rocco: “I probably would have enjoyed myself a bit more on this tour if he hadn’t have disappeared so suddenly. I’m going to dedicate this song to him.”

Concert goers soon took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the two-hour show.

One tweeted: “So far, Madonna is drunk and constantly missing cues.”

Others insisted she was “s***-faced” and Karla Corpuz said: “Madonna is drunk as f.”

Jonathan Larkin added: “Madonna is performing to tell her son to come home. So moving. And drunk.”

The star recently denied reports she had been drunk on stage in Kentucky — insisting she would never drink while performing.

Rocco refused to return to New York from dad Guy’s London home after Christmas, triggering a custody battle between the star and movie director Guy, 47.

The teenager yesterday attended a private hearing at London’s High Court about the legal arguments regarding his future.

He went with Guy , and new wife Jacqui Ainsley, 34.

Despite yesterday’s emotional performance, fans later said Madonna had performed well — with many saying they hoped her upset over Rocco would not last. – Daily Mirror
