KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers were at the Felda Investment Corporation office in Balai Felda, Jalan Gurney 1, here, today to take away several documents to facilitate their investigation into the purchase of a four-star hotel in Kensington, London.
The seven-member investigation team arrived at the FIC office about 10.20am
Press members who received information on the MACC’s visit, had gathered at the building’s main entrance since 9am to give coverage on the matter.
Recently, the MACC had in a statement, said a number of individuals would be called to assist the investigation into the purchase of a four-star hotel worth RM330 million in Kensington by FIC in 2014.
The preliminary investigation found that FIC could have bought the hotel at a much higher price than the original sum, causing FIC to lose millions of ringgit.
The statement said the individuals to be called were key witnesses in the hotel purchase process between 2013 and 2015. – BERNAMA
