KOTA KINABALU- Graft investigators are believed to have raided the house of Sabah STAR president Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan (pic) in Keningau.

However, neither Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers in Kota Kinabalu nor Dr Jeffrey himself could be reached for confirmation of the raid that allegedly occurred late Monday (May 21) night.

It is believed that the operations were still ongoing and they were also checking on his house in the city here.

Dr Jeffrey is believed to be investigated in connection with suspected corrupt practices involving the just-concluded GE14.
Sabah STAR had become the kingmaker when both Parti Warisan Sabah and Sabah Barisan were tied with 29 seats in the 60-member state assembly.

It had won two state seats in the just concluded election.

Dr Jeffrey had initially talked to Warisan but eventually aligned with Sabah Barisan leading to Tan Sri Musa Aman being sworn in as chief minister on May 10.

Musa however lost his majority and Sabah STAR followed Upko to leave Sabah Barisan.
