REMBAU – Two men who set out to climb Gunung Datuk near here today were reported lost at about 11 am, but were found safe by a search team in a durian orchard at 4.10 pm.
The men, aged 25 and 26, started the climb at 7.30 am and reportedly got lost at about 11 am, said Rembau Fire and Rescue Station operations officer Abdul Halim Abdul Malik.
“They were found safe in a durian orchard about two kilometres from the mountain,” he said, adding that the search team comprised five fire and rescue personnel, two policemen and four personnel from the Department of Civil Defence.
Abdul Halim said the men had not registered for the climb. – BERNAMA
