TUMPAT – The police are are tallying up losses incurred by four police stations in the state due to the floods recently.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Hasanuddin Hassan said they were the Kuala Jambu and Simpangan police stations here, Rantau Panjang police station in Pasir Mas and the Salor police station in Kota Bharu.
“The police stations were inundated under three to four metres of flood water,” he told reporters after visiting Sungai Golok at the Malaysia-Thailand border with Pengkalan Kubor Third Region Marine Police Force,here today.
He said 2,115 personnel would continue to be on standby to face the possibility of the recurrence of floods in Kelantan from tomorrow until Dec 10 including ensuring all equipment could be used at any time.
Use of the Government Integrated Video Network would be maximised, contingent and district operations rooms would be activated 24 hours a day and schedular patrols would be conducted at all flood locations. – BERNAMA
