KUALA LUMPUR – Defending champion Sin Li Jane is confident of winning the 39th Malaysian National Bowling Championships which starts on March 8.
The 22-year-old National elite bowler who has won the women’s title in 2010, 2012 and 2014 hopes to carry on the momentum that saw her win the women’s doubles title in the Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, last month with partner Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi.
“Based on my current form and success, I must say that I am confident of winning the title. Winning the title in Thailand was a good start to the new year and I hope to maintain the momentum in the year of the Goat,” she told Bernama.
Apart from winning the women’s doubles title, Li Jane also managed to win bronze medals in the singles, team, all-events and masters events.
At the Incheon Asian Games in South Korea last year, Li Jane had won two silver medals from the women’s doubles partnering veteran Shalin Zulkifli and the women’s all events. – Bernama
