MELAKA – Lexus Malaysia today launched its eighth outlet in the country at the Melaka Autocity, Ayer Keroh, here.
President of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd Datuk Ismet Suki said the opening of the new showroom and service centre marks the company’s commitment to the historic state.
“We are aiming for sales of 150 cars next year in Melaka. Lexus Malaysia has invested close to RM100 million for expansion and the new outlet is the third launched this year after Ipoh and Kuching,” he said in his speech at the opening ceremony.
On hand to witness the ceremony was the Chairman of UMW Toyota Motor Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin, Deputy Chairman of UMW Toyota Motor Datuk Takashi Hibi, and the dealer principal of Hiewa Auto Gallery Sdn Bhd, the operator of the Lexus Melaka outlet, Wong Nge Fat.
Lexus Melaka is a double-storey building with a built up area of 30,000 square feet and visitors to the new showroom and service centre can expect to view the most popular models of the car brand. – BERNAMA
