KUALA LUMPUR – Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak launched the Boboi e-comic application here tonight.
Salleh spent about an hour watching the demonstration of the application while mingling with guests at the function.
The mobile application produced by Vision Works International gave an opportunity to Boboi comic readers to open each page like a conventional hardcopy comic.
Users will also get to enjoy 2D animation of Boboi stories with a duration of between one to four minutes. The application can be obtained from Android operating system and IOS (iPhone operating system).
Vision Works International chief executive officer and renowned filmmaker Afdlin Shauki said the application was developed with the objective of ensuring the local comic industry remained relevant and competitive.
“It is hoped this application would become the best alternative to comic fans to continue reading according to the changing media scene,” he told reporters after the launching ceremony of the application. – BERNAMA
