KYLIE Jenner has revealed she had no choice but to arrive to the Women of the Year Awards in a denim jacket after a “major wardrobe malfunction” beforehand.
The 18-year-old reality TV star dropped jaws on Monday night when she traded her wardrobe of glamorous gowns for hi-top trainers and a denim jacket as she watched her father Caitlyn Jenner receive her prize in New York City.
Explaining her unusual outfit choice, she wrote on her Instagram account: “Had some major wardrobe malfunctions but that couldn’t stop me from supporting the ones I love.
“You’re amazing @caitlynjenner congrats on being woman of the year for @glamourmag (sic).”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s laid-back ensemble couldn’t have been further away from Caitlyn’s choice of attire as the 66-year-old athlete – who was known as Bruce Jenner prior to her transition surgery – arrived at the event in a stunning floor-length royal blue gown.
After accepting the award from actress Judith Light, Caitlyn said: “I’m so blessed I have family. Not one has abandoned me they’ve been supportive of me, it’s been great.
“When it comes to gender, everyone in this room is on a journey. We are constantly learning, growing as human beings, learning about ourselves. But there’s a segment of this population that when it comes to gender, there is mass confusion deep down inside.”
“I’ve had many, many, many years of isolation of hiding from the world, lying to the world, of not being myself.” – Bang Media
