KUALA LUMPUR – Several areas in the federal capital and Petaling faced temporary water supply disruption following a burst in the main pipe behind the ELC International School Building, Jalan Sierramas Barat, Sungai Buloh here.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd, in a statement, said the ongoing repair work was expected to take 48 hours to be fully completed.
“The water supply will be restored in stages after the repair work is completed,” said the statement.
Among the areas in Kuala Lumpur affected are Bukit Kiara Sport Centre; National Science Centre; KL Sentral; Taman Seputeh, Brickfields; Jalan Syed Putra; Jalan San Peng; Jalan Loke Yew; Jalan Chan Sow Lin; Jalan Sungai Besi and Jalan Bangsar.
In Petaling, the affected areas included Desa Petaling; Jalan Kuchai Lama; OUG; Taman Tun Dr Ismail; Sungai Buloh Hospital; Pantai Dalam; Petaling Utama; Kampung Melayu Subang; Damansara Damai; Prima Damansara and Sierramas.
Consumers can request for water supply aid by sending SMS to 15300 (type: Tanker Name and Address).
