SUNGAI PETANI: The healthy catering course introduced by the Health Ministry (KKM) five years ago has received overwhelming response with over 10,000 catering operators in the Klang Valley being trained so far.
KKM Nutrition director Rokiah Don said the course aimed to provideÂ information, knowledge and skill to catering operators nationwide on a menu thatÂ was more healthy and nutritious and the correct way to serve food.
“It is not compulsory and we will invite interested catering operators toÂ participate in the one-day course,” she said after the Kedah state-level
Malaysian Nutrition Month celebration here.
Also present was Kedah Health director Datuk Dr Norhizan Ismail.Â KKM also offered another healthy lifestyle practice through the healthy
cafeteria that focused on health clinics and hospitals in the country with 47such healthy cafeteria nationwide at present, she said.--BERNAMA
