KUALA LUMPUR – DAP veteran leader Lim Kit Siang’s past actions show that DAP is the de facto leader of the opposition, says Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
With the majority seats that DAP had compared to the others in the opposition pact, Salleh said DAP dictated what happened.”The so-called partnership with PPBM is merely to give Pakatan a Malay face to present to the Malay voters.
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is merely a front to win Malay votes and is being presented as the so-called leader of the opposition but who has no power to decide what happens even on matters such as seats.
“DAP has always called the shots and decides what happens,”he said in a post on his official blog yesterday.
Earlier, Salleh, who is also UMNO treasurer, said that in 1990, it was DAP that decided to enter into an opposition alliance with Semangat 46 but not with PAS.
