REMBAU – The UMNO party machinery has been urged to redouble its efforts in seeking out potential voters before the next general election (GE).
Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said priority should be given to white voters, namely, voters who supported UMNO and Barisan Nasional, and ensure that they would come out to vote.
“There are still voters who have not been tracked and our priority is to ensure that we can meet and approach them before the coming GE.
“We also want to make sure these voters will stay with us to ensure our victory in the GE in about four months’ time,” he told reporters after an UMNO leaders-Wanita members gathering here today.
Earlier in his speech, Khairy, who is Rembau Member of Parliament and Youth and Sports Minister, said the Wanita wing played a very important role in tracking down voters.
“Without Wanita, UMNO will not be strong because they are instrumental in helping to gather the masses through organised programmes and delivering important messages to the people,” he said. – BERNAMA
