KUALA LUMPUR: The outcome of the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) test on the body of DPP Anthony Kevin Morais will be known in two weeks, said Kevin’s younger brother Datuk Richard Morais.
Richard said he was informed so Friday by the National Forensic Institute of Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
He said the family would wait for the DNA result before making funeral arrangements.
Richard and another brother, David, were at the institute Friday to give their blood samples for the test.
The body of Kevin, 55, deputy chief of the Appellate and Trial Division in the Attorney-General’s Chambers, was found stuffed in a concrete-filled drum in Subang Jaya near here on Sept 16.
He had gone missing on Sept 4 while driving to his office in Putrajaya from his condominium in Menara Duta here in a Proton Perdana car bearing registration number WA6264Q.
A suspect in the case, earlier classified as abduction, brought police to the location at Persiaran Subang Mewah in USJ1.
