Kelantan’s Two Matches In The Month Of Ramadan To Be Postponed – KAFA

KOTA BAHARU – Two matches involving Kelantan at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium during the month of Ramadan will be postponed to a yet to be determined date said Kelantan FA vice president Datuk Rosmadi Ismail.

He said chances are the matches involved – Sime Darby FC and Armed Forces – scheduled on June 20 and 27, respectively would be rescheduled by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“We received a letter from FAM’s Local Competitions Committee, accepting KAFA’s request to postpone the two home matches because they understood our predicament.

Last Thursday, the Kelantan Exco for Sports Datuk Abdul Fattah Mahmood said KAFA would have to look for an alternative venue to play their Super League matches during the month of Ramadan since the compound of the stadium would be used for the Madinah Ramadan programme.

Subsequently, the FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohamad Amin said since the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium management in Kota Baharu had refused permission to use the stadium during the Ramadan month, the FAM would discuss the matter with KAFA and the stadium board. – Bernama
