KOTA BHARU – The Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK) seized 40,100 packets of disposable diapers believed to be imitations on Wednesday.
Its Kelantan director, Abdul Ghani Harun said a team of 15 enforcement officers raided two premises in Rantau Panjang, Pasir Mas, following a complaint from the brand owner of the diapers.
“A container lorry at one of the premises, found to contain 15,560 packets of disposable diapers was also seized.
“We estimate the total value to be RM518,670, including the lorry,” he told reporters at the KPDNKK store here today.
He said the imitation disposable diapers were sold cheaper, at RM6.70 per packet.
