SHAH ALAM – A woman who was abducted by a group of men in front of a factory at Kampung Jawa in Klang near here was found bloody and bruised about 13 hours later in Section 35 here last night.
Shah Alam police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said factory worker S. Jothimani, 48, was found about 10.30pm.
“She had sustained injuries in various parts of her body. Several people who were at the factory premises in Section 35 last night heard her screams.
“The victim was sent to a private hospital in Klang,” he said in a statement here today.
Initial investigations revealed Jothimani did not know any of the assailants and while she was in the car (after the abduction), she was blindfolded and struck several times, added Shafien.
The assailants took away the factory worker’s handphone and jewellery.
In the 9.30am incident yesterday, Jothimani was abducted by three men when she went out to meet an individual in front of the factory where she worked.
Footage from the factory’s closed-circuit television camera showed the victim being forced into a Mercedes Benz car by the man. – BERNAMA
