KOTA BHARU – The contract of Kelantan’s Brazilian import player, Bruno Lopes may be terminated follow a muscle injury sustained by the striker.
Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) president Bibi Ramjani Ilias Khan said a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test on the player found the injury was serious which could forced Lopes out of action for at least two months.
“Nonetheless the duration is rather long for KAFA as Kelantan badly need to win to improve their position in the Super League,” she said when contacted today.
Bibi Ramjani said KAFA negotiating with the player on the matter and discussions showed a positive development.
In this regard, KAFA is planning to bring in French player, Magaro Gomis who was rested due to injuries to fill the vacancy left by Lopes.
After given Super League matches, Kelantan are in the second last spot with four points from a win and a draw with three losses apart from being knocked out of the FA Cup. – BERNAMA
