JUSTIN Timberlake certainly surprised fans at the Eurovision Song Contest by performing one of his classic hits.
The pop star took to the stage along with his back up dancers and band wearing a jazzy printed shirt before launching into his 2002 song Rock Your Body.
Showing off his famous moves it was like not one moment of the 14 years since he first released the track had passed.
Still as energetic as ever the actor performed his signature hip thrusts much to the delight of the front row in the Globe Arena in Stockholm.
Proving just how great a performer he is the SexyBack hitmaker then seamlessly moved into his new track Can’t Stop the Feeling.
Justin has been spending the past couple of weeks making his way across Europe promoting the song which is the theme song to animated DreamWorks film Trolls.
He lends his voice to the movie along with co-star Anna Kendrick who he was seen with walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.
The husband of Jessica Biel announced he would be performing on stage during the Song Contest to perform his song for the very first time.
He entertained the audience after the 26 performers of the contest had finished and voting lines opened for 40 minutes.
The producer of this year’s show, Sven Stojanovic said in a statement ahead of Justin’s performance : “This is a fantastic opportunity, we are very happy and excited that Justin Timberlake will perform his new song together with his band in our show.
“It makes it extra special that the Swedish songwriters Max Martin and Shellback have co-written and co-produced the song together with Justin Timberlake.”
It’s the first time someone of Timberlake’s stature has performed in a non-competing capacity during Eurovision, so we hope he’s aware of just how big the moment will be. – Daily Mirror
