KUALA LUMPUR: UMNO’s performance in Johor will not be affected if deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is suspended from the party, said Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz.
He said Muhyiddin, who is also the Pagoh division head, did not represent the majority voice of Johor UMNO.
“Since when did Muhyiddin represent Johor? Johor UMNO Liaison head is Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin,” he told reporters at the Istana Budaya, here today.
Nazri was asked on the possible outcome in Johor if action were to be taken against Muhyiddin following his open criticism against the Prime Minister and UMNO president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Nazri said he would submit a complaint on the action by Muhyiddin at the UMNO Supreme Council meeting tomorrow so that his membership would be suspended.
