KULAIJAYA – The Johor Umno has expressed full confidence in the leadership of prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, said Johor Umno Liaison chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
Mohamed Khaled, who is also the Johor Menteri Besar, emphasised that the confidence would not be shaken although Najib had been criticised by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad recently.
“We believe such matters would not be treated lightly, that’s why Datuk Seri Najib had made many statements and met with many groups whether in the Cabinet, State Assemblymen or (Umno) division heads on the matter.
“However, to date, we still have full confidence in him,” Mohamed Khaled told reporters after opening a new German factory – Heraues Materials Malaysia Sdn Bhd (HMTM) at the Kawasan Perindustrian i-Park, Kulaijaya, today.
Mohamed Khaled said personally, he would not be affected by the criticism made by Dr Mahathir because “historically, there have been many criticisms due to differing opinions and so on.”
“Tun M is Tun M. I too have been a victim (of criticism) during the (tabling) of the Johor Real Estate and Housing Bill 2014,” he said.
In another development, the Menteri Besar said the services of MysysNet Development Sdn Bhd, a developer of religious schools in the state since 2010, would be terminated due to its failure to build a major portion of a religious school as promised under the schedule.
He said the company had failed to implement a major portion of the project although it had been given extension period up to 2013.
“We are in the process of terminating the contract (MysysNet Development). The project will be taken over by Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd. – BERNAMA
