KUALA LUMPUR: A jobless woman was charged at a magistrateâ€™s court here with possession of an item related to terrorist groups.
Nurizatul Farahira bt Ismail, 35, allegedly had in her possession a black headband related to a terrorist group at a residence in Desa Pandan, Kuala Lumpur at 11.50am on May 19 this year.
She was charged under Section 130JB of the Penal Code.
If convicted, Nurizatul could face up to seven yearsâ€™ imprisonment.
She understood the charge. No plea was recorded.
Nurizatul was later charged at the same court for having in her possession two identity cards that did not belong to her.
She was charged under Section 25(1)e of the National Registration Regulations 1990 which provides for three years imprisonment or a fine of not more than RM20,000 or both.
Nurazaitul was also charged at the Sessions Court for being in possession of two forged identity cards.
She was charged under Section 474 of the Penal Code which carries a jail sentence of up to 20 years, and a fine, if found guilty.
For all three cases, the court fixed August 5 for mention.
