Jengka Green Set To Change Bandar Tun Razak’s Landscape

MARAN – The Jengka Green project, which is taking shape in Bandar Tun Razak near here is set to change the landscape of the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda)’s plantation town.

The RM330 million project, comprising apartments, a hotel, business spaces and shop lots, is being developed by Persada Semangat Sdn Bhd.

Persada Semangat Chairman Datuk Seri Othman Mohamed the project, which started in October last year, was expected to be completed in 2020.

“The project is the first of kind in the heartland of Felda schemes.

“Being built on a four-hectare site, it entails the construction of 642 apartment units, a three-star hotel with 176 rooms, 22 business spaces and 36
shop lots,” he told reporters after opening the Jengka Green sales gallery here today.

He said Bandar Tun Razak (which was previously known as Bandar Jengka) was chosen for the project as the town lacked amenities, not even a budget hotel, while people in the surrounding areas wanted more choices.

Jengka has attracted visitors since it housed the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium, a few institutions of higher learning and a hospital, he said.

“This inspired us take up the challenge to develop Jengka Green in collaboration with the Maran District Council. So far, demand has been very encouraging despite the challenging economic environment and slowing real estate market.

“We urge people in the surrounding areas, especially the second generation of Felda settlers to seize the opportunity to buy the properties as the prices offered are affordable. We will help them get a bank loan,” he said.

Othman said the 10-storey apartment units consist of three types, namely type A measuring 1,173 sq ft would have three bedrooms and two bathroom, type B (​​934 sq ft, two bedrooms and a bathroom) and type C (883 sq ft, one bedroom and one bathroom).

The apartment will have a balcony, a parking area, a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a prayer room, two gardens, including a children’s playground and security protection, he said, adding that the units are priced between RM250,000 and RM300,000.

Othman said Jengka Green, which is located 26km from the Chenor the toll plaza, emphasised the green concept by preserving over 70 per cent of its surroundings with greenery, providing a tranquil setting for buyers. – BERNAMA
