KUALA LUMPUR – The Johor Football Association (PBNJ) are expected to loan two players from Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) to Negeri Sembilan, once their naturalised player status is finalised.
PBNJ honorary secretary Mohd Fahmy Yahya through JDT Facebook (The Southern Tigers) latest posting today said the two players – Kevin Gunther and Daniel Ting – both 22, would be loaned to Negeri Sembilan once their status is finalised.
Ting’s father and Gunter’s mother are from Sarawak but Ting was born in the United Kingdom while Gunter was born in Switzerland.
Fahmi said apart from the duo, Samuel Jacob Somerville, a player born in the UK will play for JDT while Curran Ferns from Australia and Stuart Wark from Scotland will see action with JDT II in the Premier League.
He said bringing in naturalised players was the brainchild of PBNJ Royal Patron Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, to hoist Johor’s football development to another level.
Social media reports claimed that the five players had been training with JDT for the past few months.
