SERI ISKANDAR – The Special Affairs Department (JASA) uses a face-to-face approach and question-and-answer sessions to provide a clear overview of current issues, said its director-general Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi.
He said through the organising of the JASA Community Roadshow 2018 Town hall which is the first of the series, it would focus more on leaders at the grassroot level.
“Actually this town hall has been set up at the university campus level and has received overwhelming response. For example at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), we received 78 questions involving various issues” he said.
He was speaking to reporters after attending the programme for the Parit parliamentary constituency, which was officiated by Parit Member of Parliament Datuk Mohd Zaim Abu Hasan at the National Youth Skills Institute here today.
Mohd Puah said the programme would be continued in selected parliamentary seats nationwide as part of JASA’s role to provide accurate information on public queries concerning pertinent issues. – BERNAMA
