SINGAPORE: Japanese eyelash brand Dolly Wink aims to set a new Guinness World Records title by hosting an attempt for the ‘largest number of people applying false eyelashes’.
In support of the Breast Cancer Foundation, Dolly Wink hopes to advocate early detection of breast cancer, and raise funds to support its cause.
The event, hosted by S’pore’s top blogger Xiaxue and radio personality Rosalyn Lee, will see at least 250 participants trying their hands at applying false eyelashes before attempting the record at 1pm. A group of breast cancer survivors and supporters will also be part of the record-setting attempt.
Dolly Wink wants to drive home the message that all women, regardless of age or circumstance, can look and feel beautiful.
“It is important for the public to understand and be aware of breast cancer as early detection saves lives and breasts. This is a great platform to reach out to these young ladies. We thank Dolly Wink for helping us raise awareness of breast cancer and encourage a healthy lifestyle,” says Mrs Noor Quek, President of Breast Cancer Foundation.
At the event, every participant will receive a Dolly Wink lash kit set worth over $100, which will consist of a set of false eyelashes and eyelash glue, an eyelash case, a black liquid eyeliner, mascara, eyelash curler, and a pair of scissors.
The Guinness World Records attempt will be followed by a party to commemorate the brand’s fifth anniversary.
During this time, participants and members of the public can have their pictures taken with iconic gyaru personalities, be the first to preview and purchase a yet-to-be-launched series of eyelashes, as well as leave heartfelt notes of encouragement to breast cancer patients.
For every purchase of a Dolly Wink eyelash set at the event, Dolly Wink will also purchase a Pink Ribbon Pin in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation.
