SINGAPORE – Malaysian pop star, Datuk Jamal Abdillah will sing for a noble cause at a mega charity concert together with artistes from Indonesia and Singapore at 7.30pm this May 24, at the Resorts World Ballroom, Resorts World Sentosa, here.
The other artistes include popular Malaysian Comedy Trio, Bocey and solo act Jihan Muse, Singapore’s very own home-grown talent Taufik Batisah and Indonesian pop rock band NOAH, formerly known as Peterpan.
Called “Konsert Amal 3 Negara’ (3-Nation Charity Concert), it is promised to be the concert of the year which brings together superstars from the three nations to an entertaining evening for a noble cause.
Organised by the Muslim Missionary Society Singapore (Jamiyah Singapore), the concert is to raise funds for the society’s welfare and educational services.
At a news conference, Prof (Adj) Dr Mohd Hasbi Abu Bakar, president of Jamiyah Singapore, said: “I appreciate and thank all the artistes who willingly come forward to do their part at this mega concert.
“They will put their voices together in harmony for one big cause. I look forward to everyone’s support to make this concert a tremendous success.”
This time, Jamiyah Singapore with the support of Courts, Singapore’s largest retailer of home and lifestyle products, as the main sponsor, is organising this mega charity concert with a difference.
Tim Nolan, commercial director of Courts Singapore said: “Courts is always looking for ways to reach out to the community and we are proud to be the main sponsor and do our part for the community, especially those in need.”
Veteran Jamal held the ‘Jamal Abdillah – Akustikasih Live In Concert’ for the same course in 2011.
