KOTA BAHARU – The issue of local government elections championed by DAP will be discussed at PAS’ upcoming meetings, said PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu.
He said after that, it will be discussed by the Pakatan Rakyat.
“Parties having their own views is something normal in politics,” he told reporters after attending a donation drive to collect funds for flood victims in Kelantan, here last night.
Asked about the tiff between PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali and Penang Chief Minister and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng on the matter, Mohamad better known as Mat Sabu tried to avoid the question and was only willing to say:”I don’t want to make any comment.”
Mustafa has been reported as asking Lim to a debate for allegedly saying that he (Mustafa) had been untruthful that the Pakatan Rakyat made up of PAS, DAP and PKR had discussed the matter of local government elections. – Bernama
