PUTRAJAYA – Tan Sri Ismee Ismail is to be appointed as the new chairman of Media Prima Bhd.
This was confirmed by Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
Dr Salleh was asked to comment on speculation of an impending change at the helm of Media Prima following Ismee’s recent appointment as an independent board member of the country’s largest media group.
Ismee will succeed Datuk Seri Fateh Iskandar Mohamed Mansor, who was appointed chairman on Sept 1, 2015.
Media Prima is a fully integrated media company with equity interests in television stations, newspapers, radio stations, content creation and digital media.
Television stations in which it has an interest in are TV3, 8TV, ntv7 and TV9.
Media Prima owns 98% of The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd which publishes the New Straits Times, Berita Harian and Harian Metro. – BERNAMA
