SHAH ALAM – Owner of Hakim Restaurant, Datuk Hakimsa Abdul Karim, has expressed regret that certain quarters are viralising incorrect information about him not being a Muslim in the social media after two of his restaurant branches in Section 7 here were inspected by the authorities last Tuesday.
During the inspection mounted by enforcement personnel from the Home Ministry, Selangor Islamic Religious Department and Shah Alam City Council, several frames with Quranic verses were removed from the walls of the two premises due to printing errors.
Hakimsa said he was deeply saddened by the allegation as it touched on his religious belief.
“I’m a Muslim by birth and I have performed haj. Why they still accuse me of not being Muslim. Don’t do this to me. Islam does not teach us to make blind accusation like this,” he told a press conference here today.
Hakimsa said he had lodged a police report regarding the matter at 4 pm yesterday and would leave it to the police to carry out further investigation on the case. – BERNAMA
