A pair of fortunate twins are especially eager to start their studies in Human Resource Management in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Johor.
Never been separated in their lives, Nurul Nadiah Abdul Halim and Nurul Najwa Abdul Halim, 21, have also been in the same diploma course back in UTM Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur for three whole years studying technology management.
Nurul Nadiah said they were grateful as the same course and place of study would allow them to continue to learn together and thus achieve their dreams together.
“Although this time we did not get the same living arrangement, but it is still adjacent, which makes it easy to care for my sister (Nurul Najwa) as we meet often.
“When offered a similar place of study, we have the advantage of not having to be afraid to make new friends nor be nervous in a new place as we will be together,” she said, Berita Harian reports. They are both currently living in Bangi, Selangor.
The identical twins were among 4,012 undergraduates who enrolled at UTM for the 2017/2018 session.
According to Nurul Nadiah, even though they have grown older, they still do not want to part cause when filling out an application form for university entry, they make all the same decisions.
“Actually, it’s easy for us to talk about the lessons as we rarely argue,” she said at the 9-10th College, UTM.
Besides hoping to achieve their dreams in human resource fields, Nurul Nadiah said they also hoped to get the dean’s award for every semester at the university.
Meanwhile, UTM Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Ir Dr Wahid Omar said 6,100 students were offered to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
“It involves 4,012 undergraduates with a break of 3,612 local students, while the remaining 400 are international.
“For post-graduate, it involves 1,015 local students and 220 international students whom are offered Master Degree, while 854 are PhD degrees,” he said during a press conference after visiting Rahman Rahman College, UTM to review the registration day.
We are so pleased to know these adorable twins will not be separated as they will now enter a new chapter in their lives by each other’s side! May the odds be ever in your favours, Nurul Nadiah and Nurul Najwa. -mD
