KULAIJAYA – The 93.08ha RM1.2 billion industrial park located in Indahpura Township, i-Park, is rapidly gaining recognition in Iskandar Malaysia.
A joint venture between Axis Group (Axis) and AME Group (AME), the freehold development has attracted top multinationals and small and medium enterprises from Singapore, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, the United States and Australia.
A new addition to the list of companies in the industrial park is Beyonics Technology Ltd, a Singapore-based contract manufacturer of high-performance electronics products, precision plastics and metal components.
Speaking to reporters after the ground-breaking of Beyonics’ facility at the park today, Axis Executive Director Datuk Stewart LaBrooy said Phase 3a of the i-Park, which features the 16.19ha SME City, along with Phases 1 and 2, have already been sold out.
“Work started on Phase 3 in November 2012 and approvals were obtained in March the following year whilst the 32.37ha i-PARK Phases 3b and Phase 3c comprise bigger lots with ‘build to lease/sell’ options for larger manufacturing and logistics/warehousing businesses who want to relocate here,” he said.
LaBrooy said i-PARK is a carefully conceived industrial park by specialised industrial developers who have incorporated some of the best ideas available globally.
“It is the first tenant-ready park with full infrastructure before construction even starts, and the high level of technical support and knowhow the AME team brings to the project ensures that companies like Beyonics never have to worry about encountering any delays in delivery,” he said.
Construction of Beyonics’ facility has commenced and is expected to be ready by June next year.
Meanwhile, Beyonics Chief Executive Officer Michael Ng in his speech earlier said the company was relocating to i-Park to expand and upgrade its manufacturing capabilities and services to better serve its customers.
Citing i-Park as a great site due to its superb, efficient and practicalbuilding design, excellent access to the nearby Plus Highway and port links and additional adjacent space, Ng said the investment was a clear demonstration of the company’s commitment and vision for the future.
Apart from gas, water, power and broadband readiness, i-Park has added features of a gated and guarded environment, excellent landscaping, and ample and modern workers’ accommodation. – BERNAMA
