KUALA LUMPUR – Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd aims to sell 100 units of its new Civic Type R annually, said Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Toichi Ishiyama.
For 2017, he said, Honda Malaysia has targeted to sell 100 units of the new model.
“The company has received 60 bookings for the car and these have exceeded the target of 30 since the bookings were opened in October,” he said.
Ishiyama said this at the launch of the car at the four-day Malaysia Autoshow 2017 here, starting today.
He said Honda was committed to offer products that were of high value and also advanced in technology to provide joy to the customers.
“We have also taken pride in ensuring we retain the core fundamental value in all our products which embodies the elements of ‘Fun to Drive’,” he said.
The car is an import model from Honda’s plant in Swindon, UK, while the engine is being produced in Anna, Ohio (Honda of America Manufacturing Inc.).
The car is priced at RM320,000 excluding insurance in Peninsular Malaysia, RM180,000 at Langkawi and RM181,000 at Labuan. – BERNAMA
