KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said he would continue to prioritise home ownership for the benefit of the people.
This included home ownership by Felda settlers, he said.
“I will always give priority to the issue of home ownership for the benefit of the people, including Felda settlers,” Najib said in his latest posting on his Twitter account today.
Yesterday, the prime minister said the government was offering a price of RM90,000 for houses sold to the Felda’s second generation settlers in the Rompin Parliamentary constituency, compared to the original price of RM125,000 offered before.
In a statement on the PMO Malaysia Facebook page yesterday, Najib said the government was aware of and concerned over the issue of ownership of affordable houses in the Felda Schemes, especially by second generation settlers. – BERNAMA
