KOTA KINABALU – Holding the Pesta Kaamatan festival is an example of the application of the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) where the various federal and state government departments and agencies, non-governmental organisations and the private sector cooperate to celebrate the occasion.
Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak said the cooperation demonstrated the spirit of the people of Malaysia who comprised various races and practiced various faiths but were still united and maintained goodwill and harmony.
Ït (cooperation through NBOS) is also in line with the theme of the Pesta Kaamatan which is Kaamatan, Foundation Of Unity’.
“As such, let us maintain and preserve peace, friendship and unity among us which is unique in this state,”he said when officiating the closing of the Kaamatan Festival at the Kota Kinabalu city level, here last night.
Salleh also said the harmonious and cooperative ties between the various races were also the key to facing the various threats and challenges so that the country could achieve the vision and objectives that had been set.
“For this reason, the government always emphasised on the solidarity agenda because by being united, we can build a peaceful and prosperous nation and the people always placed importance on solidarity, peace, stable politics and positive economy that can attract the interest of foreign investors,”he added. – BERNAMA
