KUALA LUMPUR – A total of 27 of the national Under-23 players left for Yangon, Myanmar, yesterday to undergo training sessions and will be having friendly matches there.
According to the list released by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) today, Harimau Muda under the tutelage of Mohamed Razip Ismail would be in Myanmar for eight days until March 23.
The training sessions and series of friendly matches are among warm-up matches as preparations for the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship qualification which will be held from March 27 to 31 at the Shah Alam Stadium.
In Yangon, the Harimau Muda squad are scheduled to play friendly matches with Myanmar Under-20 team on March 19 and the Myanmar Under-22 team on March 22.
