KUALA LUMPUR – Team Petronas Raceline rider, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah set another stunning Moto2 race finish at the Silverstone circuit by claiming 8th place in the British Grand Prix, on Sunday.
Riding with determination, Hafzih managed to fence off a few experienced riders to claim another eight precious points and is currently lying in 19th spot in the championship standings.
It was a marvelous display of skills from Hafizh who started in 21st position on the grid and worked himself up to eighth with a time 38 minutes and 47.508 seconds.
Esteve Rabat from Marc VDS Racing team emerged victorious with a time of 38:29.795s ahead of his team mate Mika Kallio of Finland who clocked 38:29.858s and Maverick Vinales (Paginas Amarillas HP 40) took third place on the podium with a time of 38:29.998s.
“I am so happy and no words can describe my feelings. It was a tough race and I was working and training hard before this to ensure my fitness is strong to challenge the big boys.
“Now that I know the key, I will work even harder to close up the gap with the very top runners. Many thanks to my team who did a great job this morning to provide me an incredible bike set-up package. The bike was in immaculate condition.
