Guan Eng Seeks Apology From Zahid Over Alleged Offensive Remark

in Latest/Politics

GEORGE TOWN – Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng yesterday sought an apology from Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi over what he described as the latter’s offensive remark directed at the DAP.

Lim, who is secretary-general of the DAP, said that as a minister, Ahmad Zahid should not have made a racist statement.

He said Ahmad Zahid was trying to make DAP the scapegoat.

“Which DAP leader has made a remark insulting the Malays? We (the DAP) have members from all the three major races and we do not humiliate our members because it makes no sense at all,” he told a press conference at his office at Komtar here. – MySinChew
