PETALING JAYA: DAP will not make a unilateral decision on holding snap elections in Penang, said Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
“We want to discuss with our partners. When we make decisions together, the discussions take some time.
“Of course, it won’t take forever but we want to give adequate time,” Lim told a press conference at his office in Komtar on Wednesday after a 90-minute meeting with Pakatan Harapan leaders.
PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar, PKR election director Datuk Saifuddin Nasution and Penang DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow were present at the meeting with Lim.
“In that spirit of coalition partners, I think we should allow some time for discussion to take place.
“Any decision made by the state government will be done in the spirit of Pakatan Harapan comprising DAP, PKR and Amanah.
“It will not be a unilateral decision,” he said.
