KUALA LUMPUR – The government is constantly watching out for militant ideologies and extremism in the country, stressed Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The Prime Minister said this included on those involved in militant activities in Syria and Iraq and also the Islamic State (IS).
“And as we know, arrests have been made, it shows how serious we are about this matter.
“We will not hesitate to act firmly and on a continuous basis,” he told a press conference after chairing an Umno Supreme Council meeting at the Putra World Trade Centre here today.
Najib, who is also Umno president, said this when asked whether Malaysians should take precautions about their safety following the arrests of Malaysians alleged to be involved in militant activities. – BERNAMA
