Creativity is all about finding new ways of solving problems and approaching situations. This isn’t a skill restricted to artists, musicians or writers; it is a useful skill for people from all walks of life. If you’ve ever wanted to boost your creativity, these tips can help.
1. Get up and walk
You’ll experience a 60 per cent boost to your creativity levels on average when you take Â walk rather than stay seated, says a new Stanford University study. This applies to indoor walks, so a treadmill can work as well.
And if you can’t move around much at work, try standing up for two minutes every 20 minutes.
2. Get busy after hours
If you want to be me creative at work, start writing or take up baking or painting classes after work.Spending your spare time doing something creative has a direct effect in how innovative you are when it comes to solving problems at work.
3. Stare at something blue
A Canadian study found that people surrounded y blue during a brain-taxing task came up with twice as many inventive solutions as people working with a red computer screen. Scientists say it’s because we associate blue with water, which calms the mind so it can become creative.
4. Embrace your messy side
